ABOUT THIS TALK
An entertaining and yet powerfully meaningful presentation exploring a range of lessons from nature for the future of technology, business and our world. Nature’s forms inspire efficiencies beyond what we thought was possible. Nature’s processes are way ahead of the cutting edge of our technologies. Nature’s systems encompass the wisdom and genius of billions of years of experience. This presentation explores how we are learning from emulating nature’s forms, processes and systems for innovative responses to human challenges. There are literally as many ideas as there are organisms.
Biomimicry – “Bios” means life, “Mimicry” means imitate. Biomimicry is the practice of learning from and then emulating life’s genius. It is a design process, a problem-solving method, a sustainability ethos, a movement, a stance toward nature, and a new way of viewing and valuing biodiversity.

COME AND BE INSPIRED!
This is a fundraising event for local charity, Singakwenza Early Childhood Education. The funds raised will help us to run our sustainable Early Childhood Education training programmes for preschool children in South Africa. We teach educators and parents how to provide fun, stimulating activities that enable young children to learn vital educational foundations through play, supported by toys and resources made solely from household packaging.
